Poliwag purse WIP

Yep! I'm making a new one.
This time it's poliwag... He's probably the cutest giant tadpole.
Again, made of strong fleece with machine applique details.
The lining will be made of quilting cotton (meaning the weave is tighter and therefore the fabric is stronger.)

here's a bad picture of the front and back!

Zipper-piece Tutorial (read)

MY FIRST TUTORIAL.
It's really awkward...I'm sorry...
Basically I'm assuming you have basic knowledge of sewing machines before trying this.
Things like always backstitch a bit on edges.
It's really late so my description will be short...
If you have any questions tell me!
This zipper piece can be used for pretty much anything, and if you want, you can make the two "side-strips" as long as you want, you can even turn the whole thing into a pouch. But then you'd have to put lining and that's a whole tutorial on its own 

This is how I made the zipper pice for my Azurill purse!

the hand-stitching took forever. . . and I can't tell you how many times the needle slipped and crammed itself into my thumb, separating skin for nail :/

here it is!

Hand-embroidered and machine applique features. Ears are hand sewn onto the "head", they're very solid and shouldn't break off. (Unless you make it your goal to rip them off...)

Not bad for a first try at machine applique no? There's a few things I wish I had done better but I'm still practicing!

features:
- fully adjustable strap
- very stiff and robust, LOTS of stabilizer used
- outside is made of very cuddly and strong fleece
- inside has a keychain ring attachment sewn right into the lining so you'll always know where your keys are.
- big "secret" zipper pocket inside
- made with a butt-ton of love

It will be for sale eventually on my Etsy...just gotta take better pictures of it first.

Well right now she is bald... and has no wings...

As for her BLANK FLANK

it's not accidental, this plush show little filly dash right before her first, and life-changing, sonic rainboom!

I swear, it'll make lots more sense once I give her wings! xD

Eyes are hand embroidered, pattern by ValleryViolet.

I think I made the neck too long...

I think it'll all even out when she gets her mane as well :P
